Our conviction

People are more than symptoms.
Care should be, too.

New Life Institute of Mental and Behavioral Health exists to advance whole-person care in Springfield, Ohio and beyond—integrating sound psychological practice, meaningful spiritual formation, rigorous education, and service to the wider community.

How the mission takes shape

One institute.
Four connected pursuits.

The Institute is designed as an ecosystem: care informs research, research strengthens training, and formation sustains the people who serve.

02

Formation

Counselor training

Preparing thoughtful, ethical practitioners through education, supervision, and applied formation.

03

Inquiry

Research & curriculum

Studying what helps people flourish and translating that knowledge into useful, teachable resources.

04

Renewal

Pastoral soul care

Creating restorative spaces where ministry leaders can receive care, recover perspective, and endure well.

Our approach

Grounded.
Rigorous.
Human.

01

Whole-person

We attend to the psychological, relational, physical, and spiritual dimensions of a person’s life without reducing one to another.

02

Evidence-informed

Research gives care a trustworthy foundation. Clinical wisdom and careful listening help us apply it to the person in front of us.

03

Formational

Lasting change reaches beyond symptom relief. We cultivate the insight, character, practices, and relationships that support a coherent life.

The vision taking shape

A center built for
long-term impact.

The Institute brings service, scholarship, and formation under one roof so each can strengthen the others. The result is care that reaches beyond a counseling room and into the systems that shape families, churches, clinicians, and communities.
